I have worked with Highstone Housing for the last 5 years, as a supported living manager for Choice Support. I manage the support provision at two of their supported living schemes; Jubilee House and Hirstlands Drive in Wakefield.
I find all the team at Highstone Housing, from the directors to the administration to the tradespeople visiting to carry out repairs, to be professional and courteous. The team will often take extra steps to support me to make things right for the tenants.
I believe the company’s ethos to be one that is genuinely caring and open to working collaboratively to ensure tenants are safe and happy within their own homes.
Highstone Homes have supported commissioners in Calderdale to provide high quality, well maintained properties. The standard of finish within properties is exemplary and personalised to meet tenants needs.
Highstone Homes are flexible and responsive finding sites for development in good locations and including all stakeholders at every stage of the development. Calderdale’s partnership with Highstone has helped us to support people to move into their first tenancy or to rehoused people who were in poor quality accommodation making a positive change to many tenants’ lives.
I would just like to pass comment on the amazing service you provide as a housing association. Having worked in partnership with you since December 2015, I feel we have a very strong working relationship, providing vulnerable adults with a safe and beautiful place to live. I would like to thank you for being approachable, both myself and the clients know you will respond and listen to suggestions, continuously striving to improve the service. It is very clear that as a housing association you care for your clients, who have built up a great relationship with your Housing Officer and all operatives. It is very reassuring for the clients; having consistent people/contractors visiting the site helps relationships be formed and maintained.
Grove Court is often subject to compliments about how amazing it is; with most saying it would be a place they would love to live themselves. The buildings are very well designed, and consideration has been given to the way a client’s needs may change, so they are able to have their forever homes.
Thank you very much for today, seeing the finished scheme at Hirstlands Drive was a bit overwhelming! All the properties are fantastic, but I have to say the bungalow is out of this world!

I have worked in many services over the years and worked alongside many housing providers but none quite like HHA. The standard of accommodation that HHA provides quite simply is the best I have ever seen. The quality & attention to detail, even down to fixtures & fittings, makes such exceptional living accommodation for our clients and makes us proud to be a part of such a well thought out scheme.
The quality of accommodation delivered has always been to a very high standard with full consultation of Commissioning, support provider and identified tenants. Feedback from support provider on speed and quality of any repairs required has been very positive and the working relationship between all parties is both professional and friendly.
Highstone maintain regular contact with the Commissioner and respond quickly to contacts.
